The club meets at 7.00 pm on a Monday evening (Bank Holidays excepted) at the
Lion Hotel, situated in the town centre on the A6. We enjoy fellowship over a meal
and then listen to a talk or presentation organised in turn by the members -
We also make visits to local companies, historical buildings and the theatre and hold social events as part of our fund raising activities.
VISITORS SHOULD NOTE THAT THEY MUST TRY TO BOOK THEIR MEAL WITH THE LION HOTEL AT LEAST A DAY BEFORE THEY VISIT US.

Weather permitting, it will be a Club Night on Monday 5th March and there will be a short presentation by the Derbyshire Young Carers group. To eat, there is Prawn cocktail with Buttered bread followed by Pork medallions with cider s/c or Grilled med veg with cous cous.
The following week PDG Peter Moralee will talk about Sand Dams. The menu is Soup then either Roast pork with stuffing and cider gravy or Four cheese pasta with garlic bread.
On 19th March, new member Richard Biggin will be giving his ‘My Job Talk’. There is Sausage & Mash with onion gravy or Potato, mushroom & cheddar Frittata followed by Syrup sponge with custard
March finishes with Melanie Brown talking about her Life as a Funeral Director. To eat, Deep fried breaded brie with red onion marmalade followed by either Chicken & Mushroom pie with roasties & vegetables or Mushroom & tarragon pasta with garlic bread.
