HOME       PROJECTS       CLUB MEETINGS       NOTICE BOARD     PRESS CUTTINGS       MAGAZINE

The club meets at 7.00 pm on a Monday evening (Bank Holidays excepted) at the Lion Hotel, situated in the town centre on the A6. We enjoy fellowship over a meal and then listen to a talk or presentation organised in turn by the members - the subjects are wide ranging.

We also make visits to local companies, historical buildings and the theatre and hold social events as part of our fund raising activities.

Visitors are always welcome to come along to a meeting to see for themselves what goes on - just contact the Club Secretary using the link at the foot of this page.

VISITORS SHOULD NOTE THAT THEY MUST TRY TO BOOK THEIR MEAL WITH THE LION HOTEL AT LEAST A DAY BEFORE THEY VISIT US.

Forthcoming Meetings

(6.30 for 7.00 pm)

Gail Ashley has arranged for a talk on the Derby Soup Kitchens for the meeting on Monday 17th June. To eat, we have Soup of the day followed by either Roast Pork with Stuffing or Vegetable Curry with Rice.

The following week is a Guest Evening and we are having a presentation by the District 1220 Rotary Hearing Ambassadors. On the menu is Tomato & Basil Bruschetta followed by Lasagne with Salad or Grilled Mediterranean Vegetable Linguine.

It is the Installation Meeting on 1st July when President Hilary will formally handover to President Elect Dan. We are trying a new format for the meal, more details later.

Note - The Lion must have your meal choice by noon on the Sunday before the meeting. (The meals are now £13.50)
