The club meets at 7.00 pm on a Monday evening (Bank Holidays excepted) at the Lion Hotel, situated in the town centre on the A6. We enjoy fellowship over a meal and then listen to a talk or presentation organised in turn by the members - the subjects are wide ranging.

We also make visits to local companies, historical buildings and the theatre and hold social events as part of our fund raising activities.

Visitors are always welcome to come along to a meeting to see for themselves what goes on - just contact the Club Secretary using the link at the foot of this page.

VISITORS SHOULD NOTE THAT THEY MUST TRY TO BOOK THEIR MEAL WITH THE LION HOTEL AT LEAST A DAY BEFORE THEY VISIT US.

Forthcoming Meetings

(6.30 for 7.00 pm)

This week, the 12th, is a Club Night/Guest Evening when John Scotney will be taking members for a stroll down Memory Lane. The menu is a choice between Beef & Mushroom Pie or Mediterranean Stuffed Pepper with Chips and Salad.

David Soul has organised a visit to Amber Valley Vineyards at Wessington on 19th August. All the members who had signed up for this visit should have received full details from David.

There will be no meeting on 26th as it is a Bank Holiday but we have arranged a scatter night to visit John Horwood’s new club at Market Bosworth on Tuesday 27th. Dave Ashley has a list of those members planning to go and we have organised a small coach to transport them.

Note - The Lion must have your meal choice by noon on the Sunday before the meeting. (The meals are now £13.50)
