HOME       PROJECTS       CLUB MEETINGS       NOTICE BOARD     PRESS CUTTINGS       MAGAZINE

The club meets at 7.00 pm on a Monday evening (Bank Holidays excepted) at the Lion Hotel, situated in the town centre on the A6. We enjoy fellowship over a meal and then listen to a talk or presentation organised in turn by the members - the subjects are wide ranging.

We also make visits to local companies, historical buildings and the theatre and hold social events as part of our fund raising activities.

Visitors are always welcome to come along to a meeting to see for themselves what goes on - just contact the Club Secretary using the link at the foot of this page.

VISITORS SHOULD NOTE THAT THEY MUST TRY TO BOOK THEIR MEAL WITH THE LION HOTEL AT LEAST A DAY BEFORE THEY VISIT US.

Forthcoming Meetings

One of our new members, Maurice Wright, is telling us about his Life and Career at the meeting on 15th April. To eat, there is Soup of the day followed by either Chicken Caesar Salad or Penne Arrabiatta with Garlic Bread.

There will be no meeting on 22nd April as it is Easter Monday.

The following week, 29th April, Simon Henson is talking to us about Security and Surveillance. On the menu there is a choice between Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding & Mash or Leek & Potato Crumble followed by Fruit Salad.

It is another Bank Holiday on 6th May.

Note - The Lion must have your meal choice by noon on the Sunday before the meeting. (The meals are now £13.50)
